Apple Watch

The watch app comes with Tacto. Install Tacto on your iPhone, then open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch, scroll to Available Apps and tap Install next to Tacto. On the watch, turn the Digital Crown or tap − and + to set the tempo, tap the meter button to change the beats per bar, and press play. Beat 1 is a double tap, the other beats a single tap. The beat keeps going with your wrist down for up to an hour, then stops; press play again to continue.

I can't feel the beat

Check that "Feel the beat" is on (under the tempo, or Settings) and that System Haptics is on in iPhone Settings → Sounds & Haptics. iOS stops haptics from every app when the phone locks, so the click keeps going but the taps stop. To feel the beat with the phone in your pocket, tap Pocket mode: the screen turns off in your pocket like during a call, and the taps continue. Hold the bar for a second to exit.

The click is quiet

Raise the click volume in Settings (gear), and the iPhone volume. Tacto plays alongside music from other apps, so you can play along with a track.

How do I accent or mute a beat?

Tap the beat dots at the top. Each tap cycles accent → normal → mute.

The tuner shows nothing

Allow microphone access in iPhone Settings → Tacto. Play one note at a time, close to the phone.

My purchase isn't showing

Settings (gear) → Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.
